The Rolex Submariner, Deepsea, and Sea-Dweller’s unidirectional rotatable bezel featured on each of these models allows the wearer to measure an elapsed amount of time, whether you are timing something or monitoring your oxygen levels during a scuba dive. Follow the directions in these 7 photos to learn how to easily use this handy feature. If you have time for a video, visit our YouTube channel to watch this quick how-to, check it out here!
Slide 1: To measure an elapsed amount of time or to monitor a dive time on the Submariner, Deepsea, or Sea-Dweller, you will be using the Minute Hand and the 60-Minute Unidirectional Rotatable Bezel.
Slide 2: The bezel can only turn left and should be somewhat tight and not move too easily, so if you need to, press down on it as you rotate.
Slide 3: Before your descent or event, begin by rotating the bezel to the left to align the triangle with the Minute Hand to start timing.
Slide 4: The duration of the dive or event will be indicated on the bezel by the minute hand as time passes.
Slide 5: Pictured, the Minute Hand is indicating the start time and that no time has elapsed yet.
Slide 6: The bezel will only turn counterclockwise; as a safety precaution, accidental rotation of the bezel would only result in a shorter dive time.
Slide 7: To reset the bezel, continue rotating counterclockwise to return the triangle to the 12 o’clock position.
