How to Use the Unidirectional Bezel on the Rolex Submariner: Step-by-Step Gallery & Guide

To measure, you will be using the Minute Hand and the 60-Minute Unidirectional Rotatable Bezel.

The bezel can only turn counterclockwise and should be somewhat tight and not move too easily, so if you need to, press down on it as you rotate.

Begin by rotating the bezel to the left to align the triangle with the Minute Hand to start timing.

The duration of the dive or event will be indicated on the bezel by the Minute Hand as time passes.

Pictured, the Minute Hand is indicating the start time and that no time has elapsed yet.

The bezel will only turn counterclockwise; as a safety precaution, accidental rotation of the bezel would only result in shorter dive time.

To reset the bezel, contue rotating counterclockwise to return the triangle to the 12 o'clock position.
